Prahar chief inducted in presence of Dy CM Eknath Shinde; to file nomination as party candidate

Mumbai, April 30 (H.S.): Social activist and Prahar organisation chief Bacchu Kadu formally joined the Shiv Sena in the presence of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Tuesday.
Kadu was welcomed into the party by Shinde and other senior leaders. He is set to file his nomination as the official Shiv Sena candidate for the Maharashtra Legislative Council elections.
Kadu, who had earlier been associated with the Shiv Sena, has now re-entered the party fold. He clarified that his organisation, Prahar, will continue its work for farmers and persons with disabilities, albeit under a new political banner.
Denies Political Motive
Responding to allegations, Kadu rejected claims that his decision to join the party was driven purely by political gain, maintaining that his focus remains on social service and public welfare.
The development comes ahead of the Legislative Council elections, where political realignments have intensified across parties.
