Jammu, April 28 (H.S.): In a major crackdown on narcotics, Anantnag Police on Tuesday launched coordinated Cordon and Search Operations (CASOs) across 20 identified hotspot locations in the district as part of an intensified anti-drug अभियान.
According to details shared by officials, police teams carried out raids at the residences of suspected drug kingpins with the assistance of K9 squads to detect and recover narcotics and related contraband.
Alongside the searches, authorities are also conducting a detailed survey of properties allegedly linked to drug trafficking networks. Officials indicated that such properties may be attached under relevant provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
Crackdown Intensified
The operation is part of the broader #DrugFreeAnantnag campaign, aimed at dismantling both the financial and operational backbone of narcotics networks in the region.
Police said the drive will continue with sustained action against those involved in drug trafficking, with a focus on disrupting supply chains and deterring illegal activities.
