Prime Minister praises cultural legacy and contributions of both states to national growth

New Delhi, May 1 (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday extended warm greetings to the people of Maharashtra and Gujarat on the occasion of their Statehood Day, lauding their rich heritage and significant contributions to the nation’s progress.

In separate posts on X (formerly Twitter), the Prime Minister highlighted Maharashtra’s legacy of social reform, cultural vibrancy and leadership across multiple fields. He noted the state’s remarkable contributions to literature, theatre, music, cinema, industry, education and science, and expressed hope for its continued growth and prosperity.

Praise for Gujarat’s Entrepreneurial Spirit

In his message for Gujarat Day, the Prime Minister commended the state’s rich cultural heritage and dynamic spirit. He emphasized Gujarat’s key role in India’s development and particularly praised the entrepreneurial drive of its people.

He also conveyed his wishes for the state to continue achieving new milestones and setting benchmarks in development in the years ahead.

The Prime Minister’s messages reflected appreciation for the diverse strengths of both states and their enduring role in shaping India’s economic and cultural landscape.
