Leaders reaffirm commitment to development, coordination, and peace in Assam’s autonomous council areas
Guwahati, 08 May (HS): Following the historic mandate secured in the recently concluded Assembly elections, an important meeting was held at the Rabha Hasong Autonomous Council Secretariat in Dudhnai in the presence of Assam BJP president Dilip Saikia along with NDA ally Rabha Hasong Joint Struggle Committee and several organisations from the Rabha Hasong region.
During the meeting, the government reiterated its commitment to ensuring the overall development of all communities residing in Assam’s Sixth Schedule areas and autonomous councils.
Leaders present at the meeting stated that mutual cooperation and strong coordination among NDA alliance partners played a key role in achieving the historic electoral victory in the state.
The gathering also reviewed the election performance in a positive atmosphere with leaders and workers of various NDA constituent parties participating in the discussions.
Participants collectively resolved to continue working under the leadership of Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma to further accelerate development activities across the state.
Among those present at the meeting were Cabinet Minister Jayanta Mallabaruah, Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) chief Hagrama Mohilary, BTC deputy chief Rihon Daimary, Rabha Hasong Autonomous Council Chief Executive Member Tonkeswar Rabha, BJP state organisational general secretary Rabindra Raju, BJP state general secretary Rituparna Baruah, newly-elected MLAs, and representatives of several organisations from the Rabha Hasong region.
All participants expressed their commitment to work together for the progress and welfare of Assam, including the Rabha Hasong region, while ensuring development, coordination, and communal harmony.
