New automated technology to enhance accuracy and streamline cancer diagnosis and treatment

Mumbai, May 6 (H.S.): Tata Memorial Hospital has been equipped with Automatic Tube Labelling and Barcoding systems through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds, significantly upgrading its research and treatment capabilities for cancer patients.

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said the initiative, undertaken with his support, will help improve efficiency in clinical workflows while reducing the scope for human error.

Boost to Cancer Care

The introduction of automated labelling and barcoding systems is expected to enhance precision in diagnostic processes and ensure better management of patient samples, thereby strengthening overall treatment outcomes.

Fadnavis stated that the move marks a step towards bringing cancer diagnosis and treatment facilities at the hospital up to international standards.

CSR Support

Indian Oil Corporation has extended support for the initiative by contributing CSR funds to improve hospital infrastructure. The Chief Minister expressed gratitude to the company for its assistance in enhancing healthcare services.
