Over 100 pre-Hajj flights scheduled as authorities finalise arrangements for pilgrims

Islamabad, April 14: Pakistan will commence its annual Hajj operations on April 18, with the first flight departing from Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore to Saudi Arabia, officials said.
According to the Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA), the pre-Hajj flight schedule for Lahore has been finalised, with a total of 101 flights planned to transport pilgrims during the initial phase.
Flight Schedule and Airlines
The first flight, operated by Saudi Airlines (SV-5735), is scheduled to depart from Lahore to Medina on April 18.
Four airlines will be involved in the operation. Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) will operate 33 flights, followed by Saudi Airlines with 29 flights, Air Blue with 24, and Air Sial with 15.
Officials said the final pre-Hajj flight from Lahore is scheduled for May 21, marking the conclusion of this phase of departures.
Preparations for Pilgrims
Authorities stated that arrangements have been put in place at the airport to facilitate smooth travel for pilgrims. This includes logistical planning, passenger handling, and support services aimed at ensuring a comfortable journey.
